Pretty Princess Tea Party

Hear ye Hear ye, Come one come all from across the land for a royal Tea Party that is truly Grand!
This Princess Tea Party is perfect for a little girl who loves to have tea parties and get all dressed up! You can purchase almost everything you will see on this blog post at Our Store .

Invitations...
Start the Party off right with some great Invitations to help get your royal guest in the mood for some Tea!
The invitations are personalized with your information. I will be showing you some great dress up station ideas, but if you don't want to provide dress up clothes you can ask your royal guest to wear their own dress up attire on the invitation.

As Guest Start to Arrive
Print out some Princess color Sheets before the party!
This will give your guest something to do while they are waiting for everyone to arrive. Click Here for a free teapot coloring page template or Here  for a princess castle coloring page template. If you do not want them to mess up the beautiful place settings until they sit down for tea, then set up a small area somewhere for them to color. Put some crayons and markers in cute metal pales or cute cups!

Let's Get This Party Started...

Dress Up Station
Once all the guest have arrived you can start the party off by taking them to the dress up station!
This way they can all transform from little girls to royal Princesses! Your dress up station can be made using a small table. This is where one of our Station Signs can come in handy!  You can go all out with the dress up table and purchase Boas, TuTus, and Tulle Poof Wands for all of your guest or if you are trying to keep the budget down you could always take all of the dress up clothes and accessories out of your daughters closet and use those. Another great option is to stop by a thrift store or second hand shop and buy some costume jewelery!

TuTu Fancy Table Skirt...
Check out our Blog Post under Party Decoration How To... and follow the tutorial to make your very own TuTu Fancy Table Skirt like the one you see here!

Bipidi Bopidi Boo...
These Tulle Poof Wands are a great way for your guest to truly feel royal! They will have so much fun playing with these during the party and it is a Fabulous party favor for them to take home!

 Beauty Salon...
Hair, Makeup, and nails Oh My!
Have the Royal Princesses get a makeover at the palaces royal beauty Salon! Make a Beauty Salon with a small table or set up one large table and make half of it the salon and the other half the dress up station. Use our Station Signs to separate the two! If you have someone else to help you with the makeovers then it will go quicker! You can both put on aprons like at a real salon. Glitter hairspray is always a huge hit (can be found at Wal-mart in the party supplies section or any local beauty supply store)!

Fashion Show...
After everyone is all dressed up and ready to go help them have a blast with a fashion show!
Set out a line of chairs for the parents to be the audience! Make a 'runway' for the girls to walk down as they show off their new look! To create an easy runway that will work inside or out you need two large rolls of ribbon. Unroll both rolls of ribbon and create a pathway by stretching them out parallel to each other. Leave about 3-4 feet in between for the girls to walk through. Start the music and begin the show!! Announce each girl by 'Princess Name' when it is their turn to strut down the runway.

Time For Tea...
Have all the guest sit down at the royal Tea Table!
You can set up this table and place settings by using our Party in a Box Packages and accessories found Here .
Help each guest feel truly Special by labeling her place setting with her name...we have two different kinds of place cards. There are the Carriage Frames shown below and the Paper Place Cards. Use real tea pots that the girls can pass around to make it a true tea party! I purchased these two teapots at TJMaxx and filled them with Pink Lemonade!

Food...
Finger Foods work great for a Tea Party!
You can make some PB&J sandwiches, Turkey Cheese, Grilled Cheese, or whatever sandwich you wish to make! Then take a cookie cutter and cut out some Fabulous shapes! I used a princess crown and a glass slipper! You can find these cookie cutters at a Hobby Lobby, Michaels, or a Local Candy Cake shop usually for less than a $1. You can also find them online (but the shipping is a little high for such a cheap item).

The Feather Topiary center piece brings an elegant look to the table!

Fancy Chairs...
If it isn't in your budget to order slip covers and you have to deal with whatever chairs you have; then this is a great solution! You will need about 2.5 yards of tulle per chair. Tulle by the yard ranges in price from .77cents to $2. I used Tulle by the Yard to get this look! If you are wanting to cut the price down a little more, then you can buy a spool of Tulle instead. It won't be as wide as what I am using here.
Take your Tulle and tie it around the chair; then fluff the bottom so it hangs how you would like it. You can now leave them as is or adhere our teapot cutouts to the chair! They come exclusively with our Party in a Box-Extreme package. You could also hot glue some pretty Gerber daisy flowers in the center of your knot or anything else your crafty mind can come up with!

Tissue Pom Poms...
Tissue Pom Poms can transform any party space!! The Party in a Box-Deluxe and Party in a Box-Extreme come with 4 large Tissue Pom Poms. If you want more or don't want to purchase one of those party packages; then you can check out the tutorial on how to make them yourself Here!

Game Time...
Games are always so much fun at Birthday parties! This fun princess tea party BINGO board and game pieces come exclusively with our Party in a Box-Deluxe and Party in a Box-Extreme packages.

Some more games are...
Musical Chairs with Princess music, Freeze Dance (the girls dance around and when the music stops they freeze, who ever freezes last is out...so on and so forth until one girl is left) with Princess music.

Princess Scavenger Hunt - Hide princess jewels(costume jewelery) around the house or yard. Put the girls in two groups and give them a list of the items they need to find. Explain to them that a thief has stolen the kingdoms precious jewels and it is their royal duty to get them back! Make sure you have two of every item hidden. Tell them that each group can only get one of every item! Once they finish let them split up the costume jewelery so that every Princess can take a piece home.

Craft Time...
We have a fun Princess Crown door hanger craft that comes in the Basic , Deluxe , and Extreme party packages!
It has ribbon attached so it can be hung on their door knob. The craft comes with Glitter Foam Princess stickers for decorating! Set up a craft station and fill it with anything you can think of to decorate the crowns (marabou, feathers, googly eyes, sequins, glitter, rhinestones, markers, crayons, etc.) Let their imagination do the rest!

Sweet Shoppe...
Mmm, Mmm, Mmm!!
Let your guest go to the sweet shoppe station and load up on lots of yummy sweets to take home with them. Label your candy jars with ribbon and a label (available in most of our party packages)

Dress up the Cupcakes...
Make the cupcakes look beautiful with tiara inspired Cupcake Wrappers and castle, crown, and age Cupcake Toppers!

Favor Boxes...
Give the guest something to put all of their sweets in! These Favor Boxes will help send them home in style! I'm sure the parents will LOVE you after you send them home with so many sweets. So to make up for it you could send home a cute tooth brush with a Thank You note attached to it!

Station Signs...
Our station signs come without the base! Here are some great base ideas...
Use a small pail with a foam ball inside to hold the sign. Then you can put part of a boa on top to cover up the foam. Shredded paper works great too! It is also cute to put the signs in a vase with some feathers or fake flowers! Another great idea is a painted terracotta pot!

Thank You...
These Thank You Cards can be filled out and sent home with your guest the day of the party or you can mail them after the party! I like to fill mine out with a quick little personal message and then send them home in the Favor Boxes. That way I don't forget later;-)
